Monday 10th October saw the start of our new season. Members gathered for an evening of good photography and they were not disappointed.
In 2020 Sue O'Connell and Peter Brisley were due to present their Travels in Mongolia, but due to the pandemic all live meetings were cancelled. However, Sue and Peter had put together a pre-recorded talk entitled 'The Wild East - Travels in Mongolia' which was available through the PAGB Recorded Lecture Service, for hire to affiliated Clubs.
Sue's engaging narrative accompanied by superb images covered the lives and culture of these proud and hospitable people. Their way of life in a harsh environment has changed very little over the years. The highlight was of course the Eagle Hunters Festival held to demonstrate the skill of man and horse and their trained Golden Eagles.
The evening finished with an opportunity to view the entries from this years Knightshayes Trophy Competition, the subject was 'Simplicity' set by the WCPF President. A wide variety of interpretation was shown throughout the several hundred images entered.
