A practical evening was held on Monday 11th April when members were requested to bring along small items to photograph, using Macro and Close Up techniques.
Four sets and lighting were supplied ranging from a Light Tent to coloured backgrounds, granite and artificial grass on which to place the various items.
Everybody was given free reign and the only limitation was their imaginations, this proved very interesting and items brought included glassware, fruit, Russian Matryoshka Dolls, fantasy Dragons to veined cabbage leaves.
Members worked in pairs or individually and changed sets during the evening to try out different subjects. Some interesting images were produced and showed a lot of creativity in choice of composition and use of lighting.
Everyone agreed this had been a great experience as it is a branch of our hobby that is sometimes overlooked.
