On Monday 28th March members met for the final competition of the season. The subject was Open and provided entrants with a choice of Monochrome or Colour images on any subject. This ranged from traditional Landscapes, Seascapes, Architecture to Sport and Creative work.
We had once again nominated a long standing friend of the club, John Harmsworth from Wellington, to act as our Judge for this competition. John had previously viewed our work at home and provided us with detailed and helpful written comments on each entrants work.
The Chairman read out these comments and invited members to add their own thoughts, before the results were announced.
John ended his assessment of the work by saying, "Once again it had been a great honour to look through our work, the standard of which was very good" and went on to say, "I had found it difficult to separate some of the images because the subject matter had been recorded so well".
All agreed that it had been another great evening of photography at the Club.
