Monday 11th October saw the start of our new season and the first live meeting for 19 months. Following strict Covid 19 measures, members looked forward to an evening of good photography and they were not disappointed.
We commenced with a short presentation by Ian Bateman, immediate past president of the WCPF, on the workings of our Federation, the PAGB, RPS and FIAP and how distinctions can be gained from each organisation.
Our last Club Competition was held remotely in March and members only were able to see the winners on the website and receive their own individual Judge's comments. This was remedied, as members now had the opportunity to see the full competition, both Prints and PDI's and were able to view each others work and hear the Judge's comments for the first time. This was also a chance for some interactive discussions on the various images shown.
All agreed this had turned out to be a very interesting and enjoyable evening of photography.
The next meeting will be on 25th October when we will have the opportunity to see some of the best work from around our Federation when we show the postponed, WCPF Members Exhibition 2019.
