Monday 8th April was devoted to Audio Visual sequences from many clubs within our Federation. From a total of 38 we selected 22 of these to view including all the awarded entries. The competition was divided into three sections, Long Sequence, Short Sequence and Photo Harmony. The subjects ranged from documentaries, landscapes, travel, fantasy to humour.
The Judges Special Award went to 'Hermaness' a beautifully photographed and narrated visit to this small island off the northern most coast of Scotland. On it's northern tip is a nature reserve with one of the largest colonies of Gannets in the UK. There were shots of these birds in flight and diving for fish together with many others such as Skuas and Puffins.
Some sequences now include video clips and animation to enhance the overall message or storyline.The standard of production is now very high and we all enjoyed an evening of inspirational AV's.
