Monday 22nd January was eagerly awaited by members as it was the popular 'Open Colour competition which always yields a diverse selection of subjects.
We had asked Aneka Woodman from Cannington to be our Judge for this competition, Aneka is a member of the Bridgwater Photographic Society and has been accepted to join the WCPF Judging Panel.
This was her first live judging and she did not disappoint. She had previously spent time looking at our work and was therefore able to give detailed, helpful and constructive comments on each image presented. These were delivered with a touch of humour which made for a relaxed atmosphere and good interaction with the audience.
She said as the standard of work was so high it had been very difficult to make a final selection, and it all came down to personal choice in the end.
The evening was enjoyed by us all thanks to Aneka's infectious enthusiasm for photography.
