Monday 9th October saw the start of our new season. Members gathered for an evening of good photography. Through the PAGB Recorded Lecture Service we were treated to 'The Colours of India' a record of a journey taken by Jane and Adrian Lines from the North of England. The trip started in Delhi and covered a large area of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh including many important towns and historic sites such as the Taj Mahal.
Street photography showed us many of the picturesque markets and local people in their colourful dress. We also visited wildlife and bird sanctuaries along the way and a memorable visit to the world famous Ranthambhore tiger reserve for some remarkable close ups of these magnificent animals.
Following the break we viewed the 7th Greek International Salon of Photography and saw all of the awarded images from the four sections, Crete, Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes.
Another evening enjoyed by us all.
