Some of the members with David and Jodie
On Monday 2nd December members met for another practical session on the use of Studio Flash Lighting techniques in Portraiture.
Once again our tutor for the evening was David Morton and he was joined once more by Jodie to act as our model.
This time David had brought along his own high speed flash equipment, complete with radio triggers for the various makes of cameras members had brought. He went on to explain how his equipment differed from the conventional flash and the benefits of being completely battery operated and portable.
Members then had the opportunity for a one to one with Jodie who changed poses with ease like a true professional. The introduction of props, such as hats and pashmina scarves, opened up a variety of new posing possibilities which was great fun.
At the end of the evening, the Chairman thanked David for another excellent tutorial and continued support to the Club. A special thanks was recorded to Jodie for her patience and professionalism during the evening.
Hundreds of images were taken and a lot of new techniques had been learnt, some technical issues raised by members were quickly resolved by David.
Everyone agreed it had been another super practical event and looked forward to downloading their images when they returned home.
