On Monday 18th March members had the opportunity to view the annual Travelling Exhibition. Being one of the smaller clubs in our Federation, we opted to view all the prints on the display board. The Chairman led an interactive discussion on the work as it was presented. This proved very popular with the members as they could express various points of view on the subject matter, composition, lighting and even the choice of papers used by the various authors.
There were three categories, Open Colour. Open Monochrome and Nature, with the gold silver and bronze medal winners shown from each section and the overall best wildlife print from the exhibition.
A wide range of subject matter was included this year with an interesting mix of styles and techniques.
As usual not everyone agreed with the award winners but we found it to be a very inspirational and rewarding evening.
