Some of the Members at the Studio session with our Tutor David, fifth from left and Jodie seated front row.
Members met on Monday 21st January for another practical session on the use of Studio Flash lighting for Portraiture. Our Tutor for the evening was once again David Morton from Wellington, who had brought along Jodie to act as our model for the night.
David started by explaining that it was important to interact with the model while directing poses and to keep taking pictures rapidly to keep the session flowing. This puts the model at ease and gives her confidence in the photographer, which results in better images.
Members had the opportunity to have a one to one with Jodie who changed poses like a true professional model. Following the break, Jodie had changed into a boxer complete with gloves and posed in a variety of fight positions which was great fun.
At the end of the evening, the Chairman thanked David for another excellent tutorial and a special thank you to Jodie for her patience and professionalism during the evening.
Hundreds of images were taken and a lot of new techniques had been learnt, also some technical issues raised by members had been resolved by our tutor.
Everyone agreed it had been another super practical event and looked forward to the next one.
