Members met on Monday 5th November for the first Competition of the new season. As this was Bonfire Night we all hoped it would go off like a rocket and not end up a damp squib.
Our Judge for the evening was a good friend of the Club, Chris Mowthorpe from the Phoenix Group of Photographers in Taunton. Chris who enjoys monochrome photography had spent some time previously looking at our work and was able to comment at length on each image presented. His comments were both helpful and constructive, giving encouragement to the less experienced members who had not tried mono before.
The evening, far from being a 'Damp Squib', turned out to be a most popular event enjoyed by us all.
