An evening with John Burrows DPAGB

The Club met on Monday 9th April to welcome two members of Worcester Camera Club who had kindly agreed to present our members with an evening of AV sequences and Prints.
John and Ann Burrows have been members of the Worcester club for many years and held most of the Offices during that time.
The evening commenced with a selection of Johns' Print's ranging from Landscape to Steam Trains which is one of his passions together with Motorcycles. A short history of each image was given to the audience. This was followed by 12 AV sequences starting with the bulb fields at Keukenhof in full bloom and country house gardens in spring to the National Arboretum and autumnal colours to the splendour of the Malvern Hills in Winter.
The sequence on 'Dismaland' at Weston Super Mare, conceived by Banksy, caused much amusement as did the guided tour of Gloucester Jail.
By contrast we were shown wonderful interior images of Gloucester Cathedral architecture and it's magnificent stained glass windows. A quick visit to the Great Dorset Steam Fair rounded off a very enjoyable evening thanks to John's humorous narrative and anecdotes. Everyone agreed this had been another great night of photography.
