On Monday 7th November members arrived for the first Competition of the new season. The set theme was "Industry" and proved to be a challenging subject for the members.
To judge this for us, the Chairman welcomed back a long standing friend of the Club, Mr George Reekie DPAGB ABPE from Taunton. George had agreed once again to judge the entries "Off the Cuff," having not previously viewed the work.
He began by viewing each members entry, commenting on each image before holding back one for further consideration. When all entries had been viewed, he placed them in order of merit from first to highly commended. George observed that the theme had been interpreted well but a few were rather loose in their interpretation. He praise the standard of our work especially as we are now only a small club.
To round off the evening, George had brought along some of his Travel, Nature, Sport and Creative work to show us, which was much appreciated by all present.
