Thanks to the PAGB Lecture Service, members came together on Monday 20th March for a tutorial evening by Canon Cameras, entitled 'The Essential Guide to Landscape Photography.'
During the two hour lecture we were introduced to the many aspects of creating a stunning landscape image. The choice of camera and lenses were discussed and how the various settings were used to enhance the final image. Lighting and time of day also was important in creating atmosphere within the image and how shutter speeds could be used to portray movement in water etc.
All nine chapters were illustrated by excellent examples to accompany the narration and included details of the various camera settings used to obtain the images.
The last chapter dealt with post production and some tips on tweaking the final image. Following a discussion afterwards, everyone agreed that this had been another worthwhile evening as we had all learned a lot from this tutorial, thanks to Canon.
